Generally it takes 2-3 applications to get weeds under control. Regular applications will control a larger percentage of your weeds. If you are not satisfied with the progress of each application, after 2-3 weeks, please bring this to our attention. This will allow us to address your particular concerns.
Tip: Keeping weeds mowed (even when grass is dormant) will prevent them from maturing. This will make herbicides more effective and is particularly true with hard to kill weeds such as Wild Onions.
Service calls are FREE for our FULL PROGRAM customers. Our full program includes 7 lawn applications per year. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your applications to work on your lawn.
This is typically a good thing! Most of our products are designed with the possibility of rain in mind.
Core aeration is always beneficial to your lawn when done properly and at the right time of year. Aeration reduces both soil compaction and thatch, which will help encourage deeper, healthier roots.
Seeding is typically done in early Fall for cool season grasses, and Spring for warm season grasses.
Tip: Tall Fescue is not a perpetual grass. It should be over seeded every year to keep it thick and healthy.
Cut often, at least once per week. We recommend waiting at least 24 hours after a treatment to mow and mulching your clippings. Centipede, Zoysia, and Bermuda should be cut low at 1-1 1/2”. St. Augustine and Tall Fescue should be cut high at 4-6”.
Time of the day is not significant if you water correctly (infrequent deep soakings). During the growing season, we recommend watering 2-3 times per week for 30-60 minutes per zone.
